Hello!
An excellent idea. I already lodged an appropriate complaint.

Please don't. If you want to test or figure something out, contact me
instead. I hate test mails to general lists.

Oh really? That would be great...I have at least two with dead flybacks.
*Heard of*. I have not ever fixed any myself. I'm running on VT525
nowadays. Also have some VT420, VT510 and VT520...
At least you don't have to worry too much about the VT525. Almost any VGA
monitor could be used with its base unit.

Will do next time it's not working. It decided to work again.

DEUNA and DELUA are the same from a program point of view. They have
different
microcode, but that is detected at runtime, and the right microcode is
loaded.
The rest work the same. They use the same drivers, both in DECnet and in
plain
RSX. (Yes, there is an ethernet driver for Unibus, that you can use if
you
have the controller, but do not want DECnet.)
What're the differences between the two again? I have a DEUNA for my
11/44 I still need to get rolling.
The DELUA is one board, while the DEUNA is two, I can tell you that much.
Right. In addition, the DEUNA have a PDP-11 at the heard, while the DELUA have
a 68K.
An -11 powering the NIC for a bigger -11. neat. ;)
So, at the microcode level, they are totally different.
The DELUA also have a better ethernet controller (a LANCE chip).
In short, the DELUA is improved in most ways. But it's fine details.

Hello!
The last time I had a monitor throw a spanner into its flyback, and
this was a long while ago, when I found out why they need them, it was
a problem to find a new one.
Then since the first repair firm fouled it up, the second stuffed a
generic inside and it continued to work for many more years.
(Actually they looked up what was the designated non manufacturer's
replacement number for it.)
Cory see if the blasted thing has a serial number on it, and ask
Google. Worse thing that can happen is that the example will be
unknown to it.
