Steve, Do you know how I could write a bit-by-bit image to a floppy using VMS? I need to create a floppy from an image file and the only machine i have around to do it with is CHIMPY. Sampsa, It doesn't mention HECnet by name on the website. If you can arrange it, maybe put in a HECnet gateway there. Just the gateway, nothing else. I will commit to bringing all of my systems (and clusters) up for that weekend. None of the machines here are newer than 1993 and that includes the Alpha's. BETA: New PHONE directory service

Gentlemen, I've rolled up a bit of Linux DECNET C code and some bash scripts to do a PHONE DIR on all the nodes on HECNET (well at least the ones FIDOGW is aware of, I periodically update it's node database from MIM). The results are then copied to the Apache server running on RHESUS, where you can now get a nice quick glance as to who is logged in on HECnet, all in one place: http://rhesus.sampsa.com/hecnetdir.html Comments and feedback are welcome, if you wish your node(s) to be excluded from the scan, let me know.
