I'd be up for trying a cluster over the internet
Do you have the bandwidth for a high-performance one, or would we end up with a high-latency constantly-exploding one? ;)
My London site does about 1.5 Mbps up, 17 down, local (UK) ping of about 20-30 ms, up time at the moment is 57:13:59, but that's because I rebooted the router after some changes.
On a related note: How hard would it be to modify Johnny's bridge to carry LAN-over-IP traffic? Not sure I want to upgrade my boxes to 8.4...
About a five minute hack.

The IP is static so connecting it should be easier, the server is in North Carolina. It's looking like i'll need to go install multinet on one of the cluster members as that'll be easier than bringing up a linux VM to run Johnny''s bridge. ;)
What areas are available? I'll go renumber to one of the free areas once I either remember or reset the SYSTEM password.
What about area 9, which is already allocated to you?
The area router for 9 is here at my house though, and the IP here isn't static, so it'd be a bit challenging to get that to work.
However, if I claim area 14, I could setup a multinet tunnel between that site and the SIMH instances running on another friend's stuff.
Thoughts?

Yup, should do.
The parser (which I will prob write) will just go through the location field looking for LAT= and LONG= entries, and then do something with them :)

FWIW, the existing INFO.TXT format already has a "location" field -
it's
City
and Country, but you can just geolocate the city center.
