Hypermail with swiss-e looks very nice! But, it does not seem like a solution

There has to be something where we can just import the messages and has a browse/search function. Sticking all this in an SQL database would be pretty simple with an ORM + Python, but I hate writing web front ends.

I ran a SEARCH and it wasn't too bad..
Might try a DIR or something next - I wonder what a DIR or SEARCH over DECNET would do :)

I found a converter to turn the single mbox file into 12,000+ .EML (==plain ASCII) files.
They're now up on the dropbox:
CHIMPY:[.DROPBOX.LIST-EML] Individual file for each archived message here.
CHIMPY:[.DROPBOX]HECNETLIST-EML.ZIP The whole lot zipped up
Hope somebody finds some use for these :)

Log in, type HECSEARCH and you'll find yourself looking at a HUGE mailbox using 'less'..

How about for now I just make one big searchable file (Mail.app exports the mailbox as one huge text file), accessible through PYFFLE::?
Basically, it'll run 'less' and you can scroll the mails and search them etc.
That could be up in 20 mins :) Then I'll start thinking about a proper way to do it.
