That would probably be the best solution.

No, sorry, but saturating the upstream knackers the entire connection.
Blame my ISP.
I can alternatively upload the packages onto my hosted website, where
you can pull down full speed.

I was googling around and noticed there was an Open Source CD for 5.1, you don't have that lying around do you?

Yes, I've got it here - I'll put the packages on tiger in the
anonymous
ftp account.
Tigers up, I had to reboot the router earlier though.

Might be. I have to say, I quite like Tru64, for an "old" Unix it is quite usable.
Anyone know where I can get a set of GNU userland tools for it (I'd rather get a binary distro than fiddling with compiling and potentially spewing files all over my system) - the crappy shell is starting to get to me, I'm too used to bash.

Just a side note: I discovered that with a bit of jiggling and poking the PAKGEN I have that does VMS PAKs works for Tru64 too.
Just in case anyone has lost their PAK..

A pity because despite its elegance and well thought out design DECnet-Plus

feel an urge to get more confused by running versions even older than
V5.0...

Apologies,
It is decnet+, the version I use is 4.0B on 4.0G - I didn't have any
problems configuring it up for use with HECnet however.
I can check for a more recent version if you don't have one.
