It hates to connect to anything else...incoming connections break, too...Someone else on the list tried to debug it (I forgot who) and he found absolutely no issues that would explain this. Any ideas why it works but it doesn't?

This is true, but this is a serial process, and your box needs to be
packed first...and the hardware going in it needs to be tested, cleaned up,
etc. I'm getting there.
This does not explain why there are a dozen Yeti nearby making use of
your resources to aid the "Free Tibet" movement by crashing all of
China.....
They've gotta get it done somehow!

Hello!
True, True. But its really a surreal process not a serial one. This
also presupposes that the chosen unit wants to travel up here.

Now as to that group, I should mention that its one of six. They work
in rotation. Currently group two is busy making use of everything in
Cory's location for the same purpose. next week its two others in the
same places.....

I'm packing up your box right now; I've put a pair of H8575-A
adapters in it. They're in a small zip-lock bag.

Oh, btw:

OS: not sure yet...likely latest VMS...may do a reinstall of VMS or
Ultrix

MAYA? I don't even know about any MAYA... Did you mean MOYA?
Really? Looks like my internal nodelist got a bit scrambled...
Swap MAYA for MOIRA then. That's currently 9.13 but is nonexistent
right now. I'll give it a name of MOIRA.
I think I might have changed MAYA to MOIRA a while ago. Anyway, I'll
change it to MOYA now, and put the info in. Thanks.
Happy to provide info. Will provide more once the VAXstation arrives...along with the new network processing engine for my 7200 so I can actually...route DECnet again.
Drop MNCSTR, MEAGHN, MAKYLA, MAELNA, CNR1 through CNR3, CIRCUS, PARROT,
