Excuse the n00b question but what's in DECSET? I might have that actually...

In case any of you guys need a lot of space to do some VAX related stuff, I've got a 12 member, 2926056 block bound volume on KUHAVX/SIIRI.
Let me know if anyone wants an account.

OK, no worries, just thought I'd let the remaining people know that they need they to update their IPs for GORVAX.

Steve Davidson put a Multinet DECnet over IP entry in for Area 6 but I have stopped using it for the moment because I was testing it yesterday and it keeps bitching out on my all the time. Linking to SG1 flat out doesn't work at all, and to GORVAX it works but it's really sporadic and goes down within an hour or two requiring a reboot of STAR69 to pull back up again. It's annoying and I have NO idea WTH is going on, neither does Steve. I suspect that it's outside my LAN (i.e. it's not the router it's my ISP) but I have no firm idea. Johnny and I had similar issues with the bridge config and my ISP when we set that up too.
I thin this is a good reason to hate BT :(

It was in fact the switch on the console panel with the circle in/circle out that was in the wrong position (UP instead of DOWN).

I have just checked my 3300. The two position switch is in the "dot out of circle" position. The three position switch is in the "arrow" (middle) position.
If the uVAX asks for the console language at each boot and/or asks always for date/time, then the NVRAM/TOY backup battery is dead and has to be replaced. You can use standard rechargeable batteries and it is relatively easy to do (I managed to do it myself, and I'm quite clumsy with hardware :)).

I am running this simulator in the same Pi which currently holds 5 more VMs. I will see if it keeps stable, and if it does I will run it permanently.
Issues to solve
- KLH10 does not idle in the Pi. I'll check the idler device code to see if I can guess what is happening.
- I tried to give KLH10 its own bridge device, plugged into the rest of my network via VDE switches and plugs, but it does not work. I have lots of IPBLP bugchecks and IP networking is unusable (weird enough, DECNET and LAT seem to work). It works fine if I use the main host interface in non-exclusive mode (but then I don't get LAT).
- KLH10 frontend can't load *.EXE files.
- TOPS-10 does not run well. I used a x86 KLH to dump the load code in SAV format and then I can boot TOPS-10, but it hungs after a while.
On the other hand, I'm thinking about building a blinkenlights device using the GPIO pins of the Rasp-pi basing it on the actual parallel port blinkenlights panel driven by the "lites" device... :) It could be another nice hobby project...
