Hrrumpt... a 3B* is hardly old school. Old school is at Version 5 or 6 or maybe as late as Version 7 running an 11/40 class system ;-)

It'd be a pretty nifty addition to a collection, I'd love a really old school Unix machine.
Which reminds me, I need to have my friend find his modem and pentium running SysV.

I CANNOT VOUCH FOR THIS PERSON'S CREDENTIALS, I found this via an e-mail search I have running on eBay I don't know the guy, but he has a decent amount of positive feedback and the items are largely listed well.
He's apparently in California, so consider that before bidding.

There's a good deal of DEC stuff in there, including a VAXStation 4000/60 and some install CD-ROMS (one of which is listed wrong and I have left him know)
Just thought I'd throw out a heads-up.

2012 is not a good year... I lurk in alt.sys.pdp10 and alt.folklore.computers so I "met" Mark that way. Sharp mind and tongue, not an easy guy to argue with if you're not comfortable with your data :-) I do hope he is well cared for.

Some of you on this list knows MRC. Some of you probably also knows that
he is terminally ill.
I just wanted to let the rest of you know that a great hacker in the
Tops-20 world is not going to be around much longer.

(That is about all I know, if anyone have anything else, feel free to
share.)
I've never met MRC in person, but have had many talks over mail with him
over the years, and I'm extremely sad by this news myself. :-(

That's very sad. I knew Mark thru his work on TOPS20 networking and the
Panda Distribution. I'm sure there are several people on this list running
TOPS20 emulations using Mark's Panda TOPS20. It was at his suggestion that
Spare Time Gizmos made the Panda Display panel so that KLH10 and TOPS20
could have a real blinky lights front panel. He'll be missed.

I am one of the PANDA users in this list. I have known TOPS-20 thanks to his effort. This is very sad.
I am a Panda user as well. This is very sad indeed. :(

I've got a Raspberry Pi Model B.
Did you get the newer-revision one with more RAM?
Was running RISCOS on it but got bored by the awful interface.
Hmm, Wonder if it'd be possible to modify the interface. I hear it has a package manager now or something?

Anyone got one of these built? I've got a raspberry Pi collecting dust and figured I might as well turn it into something useful, like an emulated VAX.
Which Pi do you have?
I'd be willing to help with a SIMH-VAX distro for the pi. I've been wanting to write crappy shell scripts to generate simh configs anyway.
