Anyone have experience of installing Ultrix?
I tried to boot off the Ultrix VAX 4.4 CD but got an error after a while, something like MCHK.
Any ideas? Do I need to provide some fancy boot flags? This is onto a VAXserver 3100/95.
Regards, Mark.
OpenVMS runs fine... although I suppose I should try booting OpenVMS from CD to be sure.

Nodes are named after chemical elements, the names are in dutch unless the
name in english would fit the 6 character limit set by phase IV.
The location of these systems is Helmond, The Netherlands.

PS
Wouldn't it be nice to add gps coordinates so we can view locations on
Google Earth?

PONDUS is located in Horgen, close to Zu"rich in Switzerland. It used to
be in Stockholm, but no more. Same is true for GNAT.
MAGICA, ZEKE, KRILLE, SIGGE, TEMPO, PSILO, TINA and PAMINA are all in
Uppsala.
ERNIE, JOSSE and BEA are in Stockholm.
Couldn't find address for PSILO :)

Yes, a known problem of the Mercator projection. The only things is, though, there is no commonly accepted projection that is both useful and shows reasonable representations of different places on the earth in a flat image. Mercator is the projection most people are accustomed to. Normally you cut it off before you really get to the poles, because it becomes a little too obvious there.
Greenland is not really larger than Africa. In fact, it is way smaller, btw... :-)

Much better :-) Thanks!
BTW, why does it say "A11PTR" on the side (or rather, why is A11PTR the
only node listed there?)
Bob
If you click a node (in the right frame), it will print details for selected node.
If you click a marker on the map, it will print node list for selected location.
There're 24 nodes listed for `Helsinki, FI' (including A11PTR) :)
The maps great, thanks for the work involved to get there!
Mind, the default projection used by google maps is hilarious - look how
large Antarctica is!
Mark.
Yes, you are right. Also had plans to get some hosts up at the Espoo site but still waiting for network upgrade.

Other machines I know of:
Area 11 is all in Finland. Might be Helsinki, but I'm not 100% sure.
(Saku can tell...)

Check the marker file itself

I can read this file OK using this link.
Any other ideas?

Found a workaround for IE < 8.0.
Please try again.

Hmm.
Got the same problem with MSIE 8.0 in `compatibility view' mode (native mode works fine).
I'll look what's changed after IE 7.0...
