Hi
It appears once upon a time there was some sort of a VMS-like shell on
DOS called PCVMS from Wendin Software. Sampsa asked for it from the last
person to work on it 11 years ago at

Wondering if Sampsa or anyone has floppy images.

I have it. I last messed with it when it was current a very long
time ago, and I seem to remember it being interesting but that was about it.

In the meanwhile, I managed to get PCVMS to work on a 86BOX VM (which I
can share).
PCVMS's Username is root, empty password. It is indeed weird, looks like
a Unix attempt chaged to VMS attempt (passwd file is /etc, for example).
Some sort a multitasking executive over DOS (quarterdeck/caldera drdos 7
come to mind). I haven't played with it much yet, maybe its possible to
submit jobs in the "multiuser environment". A couple of screenshots:

Well Wendin also did PCNX, I think it was, or was it PCUNIX? I think
it was PCNX. Both it and PCVMS were built using Wendin's OS Toolkit, as
demos for what could be done with it, if memory serves.
