I created another simh machine. 31.271 (LIBBY) VAX 8650 and added it to HECnet. I was
able to execute NCP commands just fine on that machine. Both it and the 11/780 are running
on a single Pi 3. So the problem looks like it is in the 11/780 machine itself.

routing node? I restarted PyDECnet and executed COPY KNOWN NODES FROM

Yes. That is what Brian said. But if you try talking to it, it
identifies itself as PyDECnet. Which is why I am wondering if perhaps
Brian have configured two nodes with the same address, which would also
explain why he is failing to copy the nodename database to his VAX...

Circuit is up. Using the copy known nodes command I get "unable to
