I have the VAX/VMS version of Algol 68 RS - an implementation lacking only PAR, with
extensions for modules and better low level programming. You can even interface with
system services because it uses the calling standard. Even the debugger works with it.
It’s available from DUNE:: decnet default directory.

Neat. I'm a fan of that language, though opportunities to use it have not been
common.
Did you know that the GCC suite now contains an Algol 68 front end? That would imply
that in theory (give or take any needed machine-dependent bits) you can now compile Algol
68 programs for a whole lot of different machines, possibly including the VAX. Hm, I
wonder about PDP-11. That would be wild. Will have to try that.
