Hi all!
Bit late to the Ultrix-fest here.. my Outlook has been on the fritz…
Does anyone have Ultrix 4.1/VAX? Specifically, that version…? I ask here and there
periodically to see if it’s surfaced anywhere. Would be very grateful if someone has it
and can share.
Also anyone have DECnet for Ultrix 3.0 (AQ-EE50E-BE?) It seems the chap at
typewritten.org
has it but he’s thus far resisting answering my emails.
I have DECnet running on Ultrii 4.0 and 4.2-4.5. For 4.3 and up I used the package
supplied with 4.2 – seems to work fine – been up and running on HECnet for a few years
now.
I have Ultrix 2.2 and 2.3 up and running and on DECnet too.
And pretty sure Phase V wasn’t ever available on Ultrix.
Cheers!
iain

Steve
I can see two more performant alternatives. If you can give me access via FTP/SFTP/SSH I
can upload them direct to you if bandwidth isn't an issue at your end.
Alternatively I can stick everything on a MicroSD card and mail it to you!

Mark,
Do you know of an easy way to copy the directory tree down to a local drive? I have a
16TB NAS server here that could easily house all of these files. That way they would also
be available on the East coast of the US.
The bandwidth here is huge but I find that copying anything of any large size is SLOW and
PAINFUL when OneDrive is involved. I was hoping to use wget to “mirror” your shared
area.
On the other hand, If you were to put this directory tree on one of your local servers, I
can have my systems copy these files during YOUR off hours so as not to impact you. I
could even use UUCP over TCP if you like and really exercise my systems! 😊… (cron jobs
are a wonderful thing…)
Thanks,

My archive of Ultrix software and documentation is here:

There is also an archive of CONDIST for VAX.

I'd be interested in this tarball as well, if
it's ok with you. Ultrix
sounds like an interesting beast.
I'll second that, Supratim, I've only played with older versions of Ultrix.
