Something odd with my TOPS-20 mail setup on GLGMSH, it assumes
ALL mail
is Internet mail, and doesn't seem to know what to do with a DECnet
style mail address. That's a separate issue, not related to your
mail
gateway.

Nope. The mailer strips DECnet addresses to "HOST:" and fails trying to
deliver this over the Internet.
E.g: if I try to send mail to MIM::BQT, it tries to deliver to "MIM:"
and immediately fails. Haven't yet had time to track down what's going on.
Ok. So it's not DECnet aware. There should be some DECnet aware mail
software for TOPS-20 I would think.
By the way, if I try to run MAIL on MIM at the
moment, it gives
me an error:
$ mail
Sorry, no mail reader yet.

Yeah. It defaulted to send, since there is no mail reader. Which I
decided was wrong. Try the command "SEND" instead, which does just
the mail sending.
How about reading mail sent to MIM? I'm pretty sure I've read test
e-mails that I've sent to MIM, using MAIL on MIM.
Currently I just put them all in a text file in DU:[1,7], so look for a
file named as your UIC in that directory. You can read it with MORE or
TYPE, or whatever.
