Al,
Are you confusing MicroVax and VaxStation? As far as I can see the largest VaxStation was
the Model 76 which did come in the larger case, but I can't find any reference to
MicroVax in tower cases.

There's a few sizes of 3100. The case used commonly in the m10/m20, then
the double height jobs that took affair 6 drives, then the towers used in the
m88's etc. Probably more.. I'm sure someone will correct me.
Al.

Tony,
Oddly I am installing VMS on a Vaxstation 3100 so had some web pages about
it open. This one has the dimensions...
http://vaxarchive.org/hardware/vs3100/dsvs3100.html
System Model 30
Dimensions
Height 10.33 cm (4.07 in)
Width 46.38 cm (18.26 in)
Depth 39.42 cm (15.52 in)
Weight 11.4 kg (25 lb)
but wouldn't a 2000 be a better form factor?
http://home.iae.nl/users/pb0aia/vax/vs2khw.html
From the technical manual
http://bitsavers.org/pdf/dec/vax/2000/
Width 12.75 inches 323.85 mm
Depth 11.25 inches 285.75 mm
Height 5.5 inches 139.7 mm
Weight 28 pounds 12.7 kg

Hi,
sorry to bother you all with none net related things, but I reckoned
this was the most likely place to get an answer. Does one of you own a
VAXstation
3100 or similar? I'm looking for the external dimensions so I can whip
up a small scale replica case to house a Raspberry Pi inside. I could
go by guesswork and memory, but I'd rather do it right.
Thanks,
Tony
