You do need to rebuild TOPS10.REL, however.
The slightly more detailed instructions are 1) apply Thomas? patch to D36COM.MAC, 2)
assemble same, 3) replace D36COM in TOPS10.REL (either the KS or KL version, or both), and
4) relink your monitor. There are scripts (assuming you?re following the standard file
layout) in [10,7,MON,CTLS] for rebuilding TOPS10.REL and maybe even for replacing a single
module, but they?re a bit cryptic. They weren?t big on comments in those days?
