just FYI, my part of HECnet is down - the box on which my bridge and the GORVAX SIMH instance run has mysteriously gone offline and I'm about 3 megameters away from power cycling it. FWIW, CHARON (formerly CODA, formerly LEGATO) is also down and I am more like 3.5 megameters (is that "Mm"?) away. Sadly I won't be back until a week from tomorrow and my flatmate (though not dizzy or otherwise) is with me now. We'll just have to tough it out until then. Sorry. Actually the machine is probably OK but it seems like my crappy DSL modem has picked this moment to quit. Probably it knows that I'm much too far away to kick it... Bob
