Nice bunch of stuff you have :) I am trying to peek at it a little bit,
but it seems the permissions are not set up to allow "public" access:
dir mim::du:[4,54]dob.*
%DIRECT-E-OPENIN, error opening MIM::DU:[4,54]DOB.TSK;1 as input
-RMS-E-PRV, insufficient privilege or file protection violation
GUEST account doesn't work either:
dir mim"guest guest"::du:[4,54]dob.*
%DIRECT-E-OPENIN, error opening MIM"guest password"::DU:[4,54]DOB.TSK;1 as
input
-RMS-E-PRV, insufficient privilege or file protection violation
(I'm trying to access from a VAX/VMS system running RSX).
Oww. Crap. I tightened security many years ago when I found that some people
were trying to download the whole RSX distribution from MIM over kermit...
I'll fix that access to [4,54] right away.

Hello!
People are trying to do that? Locally or from far away? That's a heck
of a lot of things to download. And from what I've seen with this
discussion quite a mess.

Surprisingly no, but I may use that for a system later.
The general scheme is "female names starting with M" which results in some rather amusing names being suggested. I have no idea how to pronounce some of the ones that have been suggested. ;)

I wonder if it would be possible to apply what you've done with TOPS-20 to
TOPS-10.
Once I get it working on TOPS-20 then we can try TOPS-10. My own efforts to
install DECnet on TOPS-10 have not gone well so far though, it fails to link
after MONGEN.
Regards
Rob
Assuming you follow the installation guide and that there's no version skew, any version of TOPS-10 that supports DECnet should build and run out of the box.
If you provide the specific version & tape images, commands used and all output, we can advise.
Do note that if you are using any unsupported/customer supported modules (e.g. the DMR driver), they need to be obtained from the 'customer supported' tape/directory and added to the build files.
This communication may not represent my employer's views,
if any, on the matters discussed.

That was the same problem I was having.
Same thing here.
