Virtualised x86 - I wouldn't waste an Alpha on it :)

Yeah I haven't seen much traffic lately.
Anyway, I'd like to announce a new node, BONZO, 8.800.
It's a Windows NT 4.0 machine running Pathworks :)
Obviously it's not offering any services, just a bit of a toy for me to play with it...
Sampsa
So is it running on x86 or Alpha?

Hello!
Also I forgot to mention that earlier in the week, the machine manager
back in the University mentioned here that he'd be doing maintenance
on it....
He also mentioned that there would be few messages during the time
period that the host would be taking time off.

Hello!
I agree!
Sampsa, does the license of the Pathworks kit allow for the individual
using it to make copies of the disks for backup? And then to share the
backups?
Funny, funny, I have a copy of the original DOS disk someplace, but
its on a 5.25 disk and my only machine who can read that disk is on
down time at the moment.
I also don't have here a card that's designed to use it. At one time I
had a replacement binary that allowed for the Racal designed
networking card (Ethernet) to take over for the DecNet card, that's
the one with the two individual ears. Also the card as well, but I got
rid of the card and the disks when the card wore out.......
Also the individual who did have some of those boards, actually sold them all.

What is wrong with your Alpha Server 4100?
I've always wanted one for my collection, but its size and mass are holding
me back....

Well, I'm not sure I'm buying it yet, my 4100 is in a pretty messed up
state so not sure it's much use to anyone...

Hello!
Oh mynock muffins!
I remember OS-9, I actually looked at it, for one project or another,
it seemed to be an excellent OS for what it could do. Too bad the only
system developement was supported on was a dang-blasted CoCo......
I then started digging even deeper into the Apple II, by the time the
PCs were being cloned, I wore it out. Now its up to something else to
surface. Or at least arrive......
Incidentally Sampsa, if you do end up buying that Alpha system, what's
happening the the fellow he's replacing?
