I do remember a friend of mine who wrote an expression parser (RPN generator) in Cobol. Or maybe RPG? I'm not sure that's possible. I do remember that the first release of VAX Notes was written in PL/I and started out as an exercise in learning PL/I for the author (Len Kawell). paul
