So, versus doing this the proper way, I want to attempt to connect two SIMH virtual serial lines together over TCP. It appears this will be fairly doable with socat/netcat + named pipes, now I just need to understand how UUCP over serial/modem works. (this is the test case, i might find other uses for this later)
