I have built and SYSGEN'd a fresh system in a SimH instance of RSX-11M
Plus 4.6 and am trying to install DECnet and NETGEN it. I am struggling
with the tape image I have though.
I have the 'decnet11mp46-netkit.tap' image from bitsavers. I have
mounted it but when I try to copy the PREGEN.CMD file (following Matt
Burke's guide here http://9track.net/pdp11/decnet4_netgen) it says it's
not there.
I am unfortunately not well enough voiced in RSX-11M to probe further
from here to find out what's going on. Anyone got any clues or ideas?

Mark,
If you are using the bootable RSX11M+ V4.6 disk image from bit
savers, look in directory [137,10] There should be a NETGET.CMD file
there with everything you need to bring up a non-routing DECnet node
under RSX11M+.
Also, in [246,200] is F77 V5.4 ready to install.

I'm not using that image, no. I have built and SYSGEN'd a fresh system
from the 4.6 BRU tape image (also on Bitsavers).
Would that script allow me to install the netkit from that disk image to
my main system disk? Forgive my ignorance, I'm used to OpenVMS :P

I am wanting to find out how to convert those old .TAP files using linux to something that
simh can use. This might help.
