It shouldn't be that involved, but I recall it taking FOREVER...... I recall doing a 2gig macos, and then 2gig UFS partitions from there... my quadra if off right now I'd have to recable to get it back online but it wasn't tooo bad, the bigger issue was recognizing the CD-ROM.. I managed to score an apple 150 to do the load... At least the A/UX install floppy will let you format non apple hard disks....!
