New subject: Game server
Guys,
I?ve added an account called GAMES to HILANT:: which will connect you to a menu of two
game servers.
The first has about 150+ games including a dozen or so multiplayer ones whilst the other
one has about a dozen, but far more traffic.
PS: A lot of these games require one of those stupid PC ANSI terminals but most of them
work at least passably on a regular VT220 emulator. Colour support is useful.

New subject: DCL Practice - Yet another HECNET Node Status Script
Hi,
I have been working on and off on a DCL script to dump HECnet node
statuses into HTML files (just as a way to brush up DCL skills). Many of
you have done this in the past, it is a fun thing to do.
Unfortunately I did not realize the resulting floods of log entries on
your systems may not be appropriate. Please let me know if it is not
acceptable to run my script once a week moving forward.
FYI - the script as of now is at

I saw your HECnet accesses to my systems and saw that you were looking for the info.txt
information which led me to update things a bit and fix some default access account and
proxy things on my RSX PDP-11s. Thanks for making your HECnet node information (and the
DCL scripts) available to everyone.

Like I said elsewhere - I do not find it appropriate to have some
automated system that tries to access my systems regularly when they do
not have access rights. It does cause entries in the system logs about
failed access attempts. Please don't do that.
