I suppose replacing the RRD40 with a RRD42 would still leave the equipment in a
configuration that was once shipped by DEC. Does anyone have a RRD42 for sale? (I have
caddies for it!)

I believe the one that takes the "standard" caddy is the RRD42, which,
incidentally, is something like three times faster than the RRD40.
