In contrast have a $15 USB GPS dongle. ntpd on local Linux thinks it?s crap and syncs to
public servers.
The green LED on it flashes though, saying it is synced.

All the Netnod NTP nodes are two Servers with one of these FPGA things each,
the nodes have local CS cs clocks that are steered to UTC.
Time1 and Time100.Stupi.SE are at our clock lab and are directly driven from
the local timescale that is hydrogen maser and HROG-5 synthesizers to stear
time, frequency and phase.
