Hi,

Connectors on the monitor itself is not that relevant. The output from
the workstation will be just three coaxes, with sync-on-green. The
monitor itself is a generic device, that can also use separate syncs
(hence the connectors), but DEC didn't use those.
That was an odd mouse. Interesting. I actually did use a VS I many years
ago, while at DEC. But I've long since forgotten any physical details.

Yes, this was the most useful picture.
So how the jack for keyboard called? DEQNA - monitor
or ethernet AUI
jack? if monitor so how to find such cable? what's this jack name?
DEQNA is the ethernet controller. It has a DA-15 AUI connector. Bog
standard thing.
The "keyboard" connector is another DA-15. It is the same connector for
both keyboard *and* monitor. You'll have to find a matching cable. That
cable will have a DA-15 at one end, and a block at the other end, from
which there comes three coax cables for the monitor, and you'll have a
4-pin modular jack, into which you plug your LK201 keyboard. It might
also have a connection for a more standard DEC mouse, which have a round
DIN-connector with 7 pins or so.

Hello Guys,
After 1 year fight i finally got VaxStation I ( VS20C-F2 ) + monitor
VRT17-HA. But problem I haven't got keyboard ... and no cable for this
monitor to connect to VS ( 5 coax output on monitor to jack on VS)
Problem that I can't find any technical documentation on VaxStation to
get part numbers for this cable and keyboard
Can somebody help?
I would assume the keyboard is the standard DEC thing, with a 4
pole
modular plug. Any DEC keyboard with this connector should work, but
back at the time, I believe it was the LK201 that it was delivered with.
if it
were dec423 i wouldnt ask you for help:) i will send you photos
with back panel later to show you the jacks
Monitors... It wasn't that common to actually
have 5 coax cables on
DEC equipment. I would suspect that only three were actually used.
Which would be just the RGB signals. And DEC usually ran with
sync-on-green. The question is what kind of connector is it on the VS
side?
DEC used a few different ones for different equipment.
this also i guess is not
very common , you will see on photo
i will upload it somewhere and will send you url
thanks in advance,
Serguei
