When were you at DEC? I was there in 1986, and Easynet was definitely
more than 5000 nodes by then.
According to Wikipedia, Bitnet was around 3000 nodes at it's peak in
1991. I'd say Easynet was easily way larger than Bitnet.
According to Wikipedia (again), Easynet was about 54000 nodes in 1990,
and about 15000 in 1987.
