Dumb question - you did ifconfig the tap device as "up", right?
I will have to double-check. I didn't have to manually run ifconfig up (or the
equivalent ip command invocation) on the the other tap that I'm using for simh, but
maybe I do need to do that for pydecnet?
Dumb
question #2 - you are running pyDECnet as root, right? And note that, for
me at least, sudo doesn't work with pyDECnet; somehow it forgets that it's
root. I have to do "sudo -i" and the type the pyDECnet command line.
I did not run it as root, since I created the tap interface with the -u flag to make it
usable by my non-root account. But that's another variable I can try to experiment
with.
So, neither of those questions was dumb!
