No. Android is a Linux kernel with a UI layer atop that. Android
*apps* are written in Java.

wrote Java and there is JRE for (at one time) solaris and there is for
Windows and Linux.
There are still JREs (and JDKs) for Solaris on both SPARC and x86_64.
And for Linux on x86, x86_64, ARM, and everything else.
