I did also point out that there was some automatic handling of DST, as
well as some awareness of time zones in VMS... So it would appear we
were saying the same thing?

I must admit I
haven't looked beyond 7.3, since I usually play on VAXen,
but I seem to remember clear signs that time is internally still really
localtime.
I never said that it wasn't Johnny. All I said was that a) VMS
automatically adjusts for daylight savings time, and b) VMS knows what time
zone it's in. Anything you inferred beyond that is your own issue.
LEGATO automatically adjusted for DST last night. I didn't touch a thing.
