[HECnet] Connect question

Hello, I've been reading HECnet mail for some time now and I want to connect my systems too. I have a few questions though. - Is it possible to run the bridge software on a VMS system? - If not, would a Tru64 system do? - What tools do I need to build the bridge software (from what I've learned I guess a C compiler would do). - I'm fairly used to my nodenumbers and nodenames. Given the amount of systems (>30) could I have an area for my systems to maintain the node addresses? - Does the bridge software transmit LAT as well?
