Did you ever request hobbyist licensing from VSI for Alpha or Integrity?
If so, you have an account with them and can just "reset" the password.
Otherwise I would proceed to apply for hobbyist licensing and see how that goes.
I suspect that won't create an account that's enabled for service portal access
download right away, however,
I realise the X86 license is currently greyed out, but just apply for an Alpha license.
They will have to manually process this and once this has been done you can
go back to the service portal and try again.
Cheers, Wiz!!

I didn’t realise this until I saw a posting on r/OpenVMS and realised that
OpenVMS E9.2-1 for x86 is now available to Hobbyists.
It’s available via the vms software service portal
https://sp.vmssoftware.com/
if you’ve ever requested licensing from vms software before, you have an
account on their service portal.
If you (like me) have no idea what your password
is, just request it to be
reset.
Thanks for that link -- but how would I get started if I have no account?
There isn't a "create account" button.
