Is your zx6000 crazy noisy as well? My rx2600 (RHESUS, btw, on HECnet) sounds like a
freaking jet engine..
Nope. It has always been a Workstation configured machine which means it has the lower
speed 'workstation' fan kit installed and the firmware set to zx6000 fan
operation.
The rx2600 has different fans and a different EFI setting.
Docs for converting between the are on the HP site but the fan kits may be hard to find.
