It runs fine on my gen8 (with KVM/Libvirt)

I've got a Dl360 gen8 I'd love to run this on
but it only seems to support
gen9 and gen10. It requires a system with UEFI and gen8's have a BIOS. I
wonder if you could get around that with something like DUET...

I too 'snuck' a x86 VMS system on HECnet.
It's running under linux and
qemu on a box cobbled together from bits. I'll be moving it to somewhere
less ad hoc shortly and I'll probably try a SCSI-based cluster of two
though I'm not sure how qemu does shared discs.

There is now an OpenVMS/x86 system on HECnet, as I would expect/hope,
DECnet Phase IV seems to be working just fine. It’s routing through my
VAX/VMS 5.5-2 system.
