SYSMGR? You need VMB.EXE, it must be contiguous and it must > be
referenced by LBN in the system disk's boot block (see WRITEBOOT).
That would explain it.

It's SIMH. Ooops. Didn't realise I wasn't clear that it was virtual.
OK. Somewhere there was mention of VAX-11/780... I know the real H/W. I
have never bothered with SimH.
