Well, my point was just that ethernet is a better local networking than
point-to-point multinet links. But of course multinet links also works.
And I remember wrong. All the multinet stuff for RSX is under [IPNET]

In terms of topology, I currently have two 3900s, Larry and Moe.? Larry
is configured for the connection to HECNet.? Moe is configured (decnet
over IP) to connect to Larry.? This seems to work with both servers
being able to set host and see files on HECNet.
My idea was that I could have the PDP-11 (Frodo) point to Larry as well
via DECNet over IP.
Is this what you are describing?

If you have my TCP/IP installed, and you have generated DECnet with the
Multinet lines, then things should be pretty easy. MNC might not be
installed, but MNC.TSK should be in [IP], so just install it then.
However, do you really have all your DECnet machines on separate
ethernets? Otherwise I would really recommend that you have DECnet on
your local ethernet, and just have one machine which is the router to
the outside from the ethernet segment. Individual point-to-point links
will not be as efficient as the ethernet.

? ? ?I'm not sure how you should do a setup of mail relaying in VMS.
