This in fact exactly why LLCs and other types of corporate structures
exist.
Properly done, his personal property and effects
would've been completely
shielded from any legal action as long as it wasn't criminal in nature.
However, this is the USA, and whoever has the more expensive lawyers
wins, so..
And as a certain UK Prince and an ex Autonomy boss are both finding out, the
USA will apply its law in almost any country...
