Many years ago (1998 timeframe?) I worked for a company where if you wanted to access
anything other than a service on port 80 or 443 you had to go through their proxy which
logged everything, but that's about the strictest place I worked for.
I've seen companies that implement a man in the middle attack on encrypted protocols,
not just 443 but 22 (SSH) also. If you don't watch out for "key mismatch"
messages, you wouldn't even know it.
This is why I like TOR.
