Not sure what you mean by "distribution set".
The layered product distribution sets that included the extra less-common packages.
The DECserver 300 downloads its software from the net, using MOP. The filename it asks
for is SH1601ENG.SYS. I have two versions of that file. I can't remember what version
it presents itself as when booting up. But anyway, the older version is dated May 89, and
that image is 388 blocks.
The newer version is dated May 96, and that image is 1139 blocks.
The later version talks tcp/ip and telnet.
That’s the version i’d like to track down.

I've been digging through a lot of documentation and forum posts that seem to
indicate the DECserver 300 can do TCP/IP (including some Ask The Wizard posts.
Anyone got pointers to which distribution set to track down this version?
This post (
https://forum.vcfed.org/index.php?threads/decserver-300-
management-manual.63904/) seems to indicate an older software dist provides that but I
don't know which version supports that.
