Thank you, I know about that problem it?s pretty simple to fix. This is a bit different.
Once Multinet grabs the interface and the IP address, I lose my SSH session into the VPC
and when I reconnect, it is to my simulated VAX. I suppose that I could use bridge/tap and
ssh from the VAX to the underlying host but a second IP address is pretty inexpensive and
makes life much easier.

Actually I think it?s a limitation in simh and the pcap library ? the simh guest OS
can?t talk to the host OS on the same interface. You can work around the problem with a
TAP device. Check the archives for the simh mailing list ? it?s been discussed many times
before.
