Brian, is RIFTER a phase V node? NCP set exec node RIFTER doesn't work, even
when I jump to SG1 first.

I would also like to offer up RIFTER if needed. The caveat there is that until I get new batteries for my one UPS the host that RIFTER runs on can be unstable due to power blips. Not that they happen often.
I hope to get SUN up and running sometime soon as well as that has better overall internet connectivity as well as UPS/generator backup as it's in a proper datacenter.
If it matters, connectivity is as follows:
Home - 60mbit down, 6mbit up, static IP
Colo - 100mbit down, 100mbit up, static IP

You can use LEGATO - half the machines connected to SG1 are also
connected to that (or conversely, there's only about 3 or 4 machines
that aren't connected to LEGATO).
BTW, area 59 is also connected to LEGATO - that got left out of the
map somehow.
What's with area 4? It doesn't have any connection...
Bob
P.S. Nice map - thanks! Hmmm... Somebody could write a DCL script to
crawl the network and output the connection data in CSV format, and then
the map could be updated "automatically".
The problem with area 4 is that it is missing Multinet since the change
from BUBBLE:: to SLAVE::. It is on my todo list to fix.

I had a series of power outages yesterday so my segment of Area 6 is currently down.
Will get it up and running again after work today.
Chrissie, I still need to open that UDP port for the area MultiNet bridge - I was going to do it when everything went off last night and as I went to eat dinner then had to deal with something else it never got sorted out.

DUSTY::"s address is 19.301. In my listing the circuit is "TCP-0-0".

I'm still around, but I had lost my connection to you (I think due to
firewall issues on my end), and far worse, I couldn't recall to whom it
was supposed to be connected. I sent out mail to the HECnet list back
then, and Steve Davidson was kind enough to reconnect me back online.
So, since I'm currently connected through Steve's system, you can delete

Thanks for keeping me active on your end!

I believe that we need a map to figure this out correctly.
Absolutely - all we need now is a volunteer :-)
Don't I remember that someone once plotted a bunch of the locations on
a
Google map? That's probably not the best depiction, but it'd be a place
to
start, especially if we could overlay lines for the connections.
The only other comment that I'd make is to remember that bandwidth
isn't
necessarily related to geography. Just because two sites are physically
close doesn't mean that's the most efficient connection.
Heck, Peter's Mom's house in Sweden has more bandwidth then all of us
combined - we should just make her the hub :-)
