Whew, I'm glad I wasn't the only one!
Yes, Peter have some really nice toys... I'm just waiting for the day when he'll have them all up and running.

I'm in. Fairly certain I can set that up in the coming few days.

On a related note, anyone want to play with setting up a pair of Phase V nodes with X.25 and getting the XOT (X.25 over TCP/IP) working? :)
Depends, what special stuff would I need? ;)

Hey, might I be welcome to grab a copy of these as well?
Yeah, what he said :-)
At least for the kits that aren't on the Montagar Hobbyist CDROM.
Thanks,
Bob

Hello!
I thought both X.25 was largely an obsolete protocol, that did so
about the time dialup service became largely old news?
And what finally became of the idea of implementing dialup (Over POTS)
to take over when our largely persistent connections become not
working?
Incidentally Dave right now there is a large furry annoyed and rather
wet individual attempting to cause major mayhem in your area. Sampsa a
troll is busy building a roadblock over a bridge near you.

I've seen one or two weird things in Phase V backward compatibility in
the past, but for the most part, it works just fine.
In a previous job, we reluctantly had to use Phase V on Alpha VMS. I never saw
any problems with compatibility with Phase IV but despite numerous patches,
there were reliability issues (and to a lesser extent performance issues) that
never quite went away until the application requiring Phase V was withdrawn and
we were able to "upgrade" to Phase IV again :-)

Peter Coghlan.
I don't think anything aside from a static IP and a VAX machine running Phase V and X.25..
