Yup, might do that at some point, but I have a working setup that I'd just like to move across from the 4100 to the DS20E...

Technically yes, but the KZPAC limitations are many.
Why not buy a SA5302 to use newer, bigger and more disks?

Guys,
I'm considering buying a DS20E alphaserver to replace my broken 4100,

disks for the DS20)...

There is the system management menu (SYS$EXAMPLES:MGRMENU.COM) which you can easily modify to produce your own menu functions.

I'm planning on making a sort of "portal" for connecting to external

recommendations for which of the many menu programs from the Freeware
disks to use?
I'd just use a DCL script. I did something like this years ago, and my
wife used it to access her email.

OK, so I rolled my own. A very quick and dirty DCL hack, but it seems to work (thanks Steve).
Anyone want their system to be listed on this (log on to CHIMPY as user LAUNCH to see what I'm talking about , I took the liberty of adding WOPR and MIM for testing purposes, let me know if you want them delisted)...

That does sound interesting, but I'm just looking for an easy to configure menu that launches DCL commands.
I know I could write a script, but if something nicer is already out there, I'd prefer to use that...
