I ve set up an Internet SMTP to HECnet MAIL11 gateway. To send mail from the Internet to a HECnet node, address it to
user at node.decnet.org
Awesome! Thanks!

Well, the Multinet thing has the advantage that it can accommodate a
"*.decnet.org" translation that doesn't require any changes as nodes are
added to or removed from HECnet.
That's also a reasonable and valid way to approach it. I just prefer to avoid
wildcard dns entries and things like that where possible.

Peter Coghlan.
I only set up tardis.

It works in both diections anyway.
Thanks.

I've added TARDIS to my PMDF configuration and set up an MX record for
tardis.hecnet.beyondthepale.ie as well.
I guess I should assume this is no longer required and I should remove it.
There's no problem with having more than one gateway...
Does it work for all HECnet nodes or just tardis??
I only set up tardis. PMDF can probably accomodate a genera solution for all
nodes - I haven't checked as I thought it better to just set up those that are
interested.

Peter Coghlan.

Also, if someone is going to do a website for hecnet, i'd be up for
www.tardis.hecnet.org (or whatever the domain is).
Hi Tony,
I've added TARDIS to my PMDF configuration and set up an MX record for
tardis.hecnet.beyondthepale.ie as well.
Please try mailing <username>@tardis.hecnet.beyondthepale.ie and see if it
works.
If Steve or Bob can arrange an MX record for a more suitable
something.hecnet.org or something.decnet.org domain to point to my mail server,
I can route mail for that domain to TARDIS too. I just used
tardis.hecnet.beyondthepale.ie to start with as I have control over that
domain.
I guess I should assume this is no longer required and I should remove it.

Peter Coghlan.

Hmmmm, PONDUS thinks that 1.250 is unreachable too. You guys will
have to
work that one out.
And 1.250 came online 23:36, about 10 minutes after this was posted... I
suspect the "guilty" person is the owner of that node... :-)

Hello!
Too easy. I know six individuals who normally hang around Sampsa who'd
love to take care of the problem. Especially since that's their
specialty.
