He did manage that VAX at his last job. I wonder if that somehow got him

That's possible. I feel like he'd have mentioned it, though.
(and if he did, Jen will never let him have the hardware ;))
SIMH on the Raspberry PI for the win! :-D
There's that. Also, he's got a VMware host on his home network; "new
machines" can just pop into existence on there with no spousal
recognition whatsoever. =)

It's indeed the James Sharp you are thinking of. I brokered that like I did for you. No idea what he wanted it for though. :)

Innnnnteresting. James Sharp is the name of a good friend and former
coworker of mine, but as far as I know he has little interest in DEChacking.

You might like to know that the router I wrote can also deal with changing
IP addresses, without causing blocking issues. It polls for DNS changes,
periodically, you can configure the poll period.

No, I have two geographically separate networks, one in London, and this
one in Finland - due to the non-static nature of the IP, I'm routing this
via
Steve Davidson's multinet-that-can-deal-with-dynamic-DNS.

Can you move:
52.555 (LABVAX)
52.556 (KUHAVX)
52.600 (DEB390)
52.661 (SOLAR5)
as well as QAMAR and SHAMS to area 15 (I assume that's free, if not,
let
me know).
By the way, Sampsa... I have your name on area 8. Am I confused here?

Good afternoon all
Area 33 will be coming and going today as I have a new to me Alpha DS10 to put into place. As long as the backup/restore from the 255/233 goes well and the system doesn't go into convulsions too bad with the hardware change we'll see what happens. Of course, I can always punt and put the old one back, but what's the fun in that?? :)
Cheers,
Fred
