I wrote an MDL interpreter based on 103 in Bliss32 and it works quite well though it won’t swallow the Zork source without some major work. I used reference-counted garbage collection and the internals aren’t exactly like those described for the PDP-10. It also suffers from not being able to save an image of the runtime state which is how Zork in MDL gets around.

Subject: [HECnet] Muddle 1.03 for VMS? Scribe (MSS files)?

I found Muddle (MDL) repositories on Github and now learned about VMS version in that repository but no binaries.

Does anyone have a copy of Muddle 1.03 for VMS? That allows Zork MDL files to run.

Does anyone have a copy of Scribe or alternative software to interpret MSS document files into printouts?

Thanks,

Tim
