7-1-CONFIG is what SETSPD parses and DECNET cannot come up until
SETSPD has completed. The Ethernet address is set during this
time.
I'm unaware of NODE.IND; you have to specify the node in the 7-1-CONFIG file, although I suppose you could run a separate instance of SETSPD to process it.
After the system is up, SETNOD is run to do a bulk load of DECnet
nodes into the Tops-20 node hash table. SETNOD has no code to set
the executor node nor any of the other parameters that SETSPD can
set for DECNET.
Asto that question however, the network configuration looks as follows: devdef ni0 564 ni20 dedic=true ifc=tap2 ifmeth=tap+bridge ipaddr=192.168.9.72 dpdelay=3 then I havea local file in SYSTEM with the node number used by 7-CONFIG.CMD which I believe makes KLH10 set the correct ethernet address on its inerface. $TYPE (FILE) NODE.IND.1 RARITY 1.802 /Anders Andersson
